May Andrle (born Mazie Di Giovanni) left this life to be with our heavenly father on May 20, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of Edward, loving mother of Ed, Terri (Tom Goblirsch), and Geralyn (Jerry Dold) and wonderful grandmother to Conor and Austin Andrle, Andrew, Matthew, Timothy, and Elizabeth Goblirsch, Edward and Teresa Dold and step-grandmother to Tony Dold.  May was born April 11, 1931 to Nicholas and Margaret Di Giovanni in Chicago. She was married to her devoted husband Ed on November 22, 1956 and they shared more than sixty years building their life together. May worked as an executive secretary and attended Northwestern University. It was through the Newman Club at Northwestern that that she met her husband Ed and also where they together forged lifelong friendships. She devoted herself to her family and homemaking, and always enjoyed hosting family and friends for get togethers. When the family moved out east, May discovered antiquing and she and Ed spent many hours in pursuit of the unique collections they built over the years.  May and Ed enjoyed traveling together and were particularly fond of the times they spent in England, California and the Hawaiian islands. With adventurous spirits, they never passed up an opportunity to explore a new place.  May was a passionate fan of the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks and delighted in cheering them onto victory.May served her parishes through her involvement with the Holy Rosary Society at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey and the Council of Catholic Women at St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale where she held positions as an officer.  When her youngest child went off to college, May worked at Marshall Field's where she often spent more money than she earned. May enjoyed surrounding herself and those she loved with beautiful things and reveled in the bargains she would get when she combined Field Days with her employee discount. She appreciated the many friends she made there as well as the book clubs she was a member of over the years.  May is survived by her husband Ed, their three children, eight grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law Chuck and Betty Di Giovanni and several nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, please have masses said for May.  The family would like to thank Dr. Arain and the second floor ICU nurses at La Grange hospital for their compassionate and tender care of May during her last weeks.  A visitation will take place Friday, May 26th from 9am until time of funeral mass at 10 am at the Saint Isaac Jogues Narthex. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
