Tom Hartmann, 69, of Oak Brook, passed away on October 2, 2024.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of Lillian and Delvin Hartmann. Tom was a brilliant and avid reader, a kind and generous man who touched the lives of all who knew him. A devoted husband, a fun and nurturing father, and a doting, proud grandfather, his world revolved around his family.
Tom was married to his loving wife and best friend, Tara, for 42 wonderful years. A commodities trader by profession, he was also a passionate golfer and a die-hard Packers fan. His love for the game of golf was only matched by his dedication to the people he cared for. His family always came first, and he was truly a man who didn’t just talk about love—he lived it every day.
He is survived by his wife, Tara; his sons, Thomas, Jack, and Michael; his daughter, Kelly (Edward); his grandchildren, Eddie and Ellie; and his sisters, Loreta (Stanley) and Janet (Lloyd). He is predeceased by his brother, Michael.
Dad, you've taught me everything I know. But most importantly, you taught me how to be a good person.
Services and interment will be private.
