Suzanne Mosser Shanks

Suzanne Mosser Shanks, age 93, formerly of Hinsdale passed away peacefully on March 5, 2023 at her home in La Grange Park, Ill. surrounded by family after a long and full life. 

Suzanne was born to Harry J. Mosser Sr. and Suzanne Ferguson Mosser on October 29, 1929. She grew up in South Texas and attended The Hockaday School in Dallas. Suzanne later moved to New York where she attended The Hewitt School and Sarah Lawrence College. A true Texan at heart, Suzanne went on to raise her family in Houston and Corpus Christi, where she was an active member of the Junior League. In 1994, she moved to the Chicagoland area to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter. Suzanne cherished visits from her son, who visited frequently. As a young woman, Suzanne enjoyed the theater and traveling. In her later years, Suzanne enjoyed baking, dining at her favorite restaurants, watching movies and spending time with loved ones. 

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Holly Bell (John) of Hinsdale; granddaughter, Natalie Philobos (Domadious); brother, Harry J. Mosser Jr. (Connie); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Wallace Taylor Shanks, Jr.

Suzanne will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and wonderful sense of humor.

A visitation will  be held on Monday March 13, 2023 from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
