Stephanie Julia Kirk

Stephanie Julia Kirk (née Pasternak), of Hinsdale, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024 at the age of 77. Born on July 13, 1947, in Washington D.C. to Walter and Ercel Pasternak, Stephanie grew up to value education, graduating from Northwestern University in Chicago.

An avid reader, enthusiastic sports fan, and passionate gardener, Stephanie's varied interests brought her joy. Her courageous battle with cancer was marked by unwavering strength and a positive spirit.

Stephanie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Marquis Kirk; cherished children Emily and David; adored grandchildren Henry, Ian, and Ruby; caring in-laws Joshua and Eunice; and siblings Roger and Cathy Pasternak. Her family and friends will deeply miss her.

A memorial service will be held on January 4, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL with the reception starting at 9:30 a.m. A livestream of the service will also be available.
