Ruth Brooks

Ruth Ann Whitehead Brooks, 95, of Carol Stream, formerly of Addison, Illinois, passed away on January 1, 2021, in Carol Stream at Covenant Living at Windsor Park.
 
Ruth was born in Tunnel Hill, Illinois to the late Vernie and Jewel Mullinax Whitehead on May 20, 1925.  She worked in packaging for Scholle Corporation of Northlake, Illinois until she retired 30 years ago. She was involved in the Addison Seniors and volunteered at the Addison Police Department & St Vincent de Paul.  A true sports enthusiast, she enjoyed attending games for her 3 sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ruth was a true Chicago Bulls fan.
 
Ruth is preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Brooks, her siblings, Joe, Wayne, Ronald Whitehead, and sister June Whitehead Miller, her sisters-in-law, Ruth & Evelyn Whitehead, and brother-in-law, Herb Miller.
 
Ruth is survived by sons Glen “Bud” (Pat), Dale (Jenny), daughter-in-law, Nancy Brooks, 7 loving Grandchildren, Bryan (Michelle), Matt (Alicia), Ryan (Nancy), Jay (Jackie), Drew (Vy) Brooks, Kristin (Joe) Toohey and Courtney (Spencer Cooper) Brooks.  14 adoring great-Grandchildren, Isabella, Tommy, Abigail, Madeline, Annalyn, Everett, Lucy & Livi Brooks, JT, Kennedy, Logan Toohey & Nolan, Elliot, & Tyler Brooks-Cooper. Fond aunt and friend to many.
 
Interment will be private at Webb Cemetery in Tunnel Hill, Illinois
