Robert J Sadowski

Robert J. Sadowski, formerly of South Shore, Chicago and Darien, passed away on February 2, 2021 at his home in Oak Trace, Downers Grove. He was born on September 20, 1928 and lived on Colfax Avenue along with his grandparents, many uncles, parents, and brother Edmund (Marie Scribano), all of whom predeceased him. Known as “Robin” to his brother and “Unky” to the rest of his family, he is the beloved uncle of Maria (Rob Tanner) and Joe Sadowski. He was a lifelong employee of the Illinois Central Railroad system and adored everything to do with trains and train travel. He was also an avid roller skater, taking his last spin around the rink at age 89, and a member of several organ music societies. Unky was a kind and gentle man who was incredibly generous to his family. There will be a private interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
