Paul J. Minch

Paul J. Minch, 59, of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on June 28, 2024. He was born on January 7, 1965, in Chicago to parents James Daniel (Dan) and Joan Minch. Paul was preceded in death by his father Dan. Loving husband to Lisa Minch and an amazing, supportive father to Kate and Charlie Minch. Cherished son of Dan and Joan Minch and brother to Pamela Minch (Terry Flamm), James Minch, and Thomas Minch.  Incredibly devoted uncle to Robert Minch, Elisa (Chris) Minch Mercado, Langston and Vivian Toth, and James Ourada. Beloved son-in-law to James and Marilyn Toth, brother-in-law to James (Heather) Toth and Susan (Richard) Ourada.  Dear nephew to Susie Disch, and cousin to Mark (Karin) Disch, Sandra (Dan) Muench, and their boys Zachery and Gus (Sydney). Adored friend to many and revered coworker.

     Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science at DePaul University, and subsequently completed his master’s degree in Distributed Systems at DePaul as well. He was a dedicated and knowledgeable asset when he worked for Arthur Anderson and Accenture in Information Technology. In his current career at Legal & General Investment Management America Paul was a talented Data Analyst, always answering the call, day or night. He loved the work he did, and the people he worked with. No problem was too great; he welcomed every challenge with patience and an open mind. More recently, Paul took on extra work at our neighborhood Jewel-Osco, and again gave 110%. He spoke fondly of his new coworkers and was grateful for their warm welcome.

     Paul was larger than life. He loved his family more than anything and would do anything to make them happy and feel safe. He welcomed the partners and friends of his children with open arms. Paul was endlessly generous, kind, and supportive. His sense of humor and commitment to a bit knew no bounds. He was the funniest person in the room and could make any situation comical. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, find commonalities with strangers, and was always willing to listen genuinely to what everyone had to say. His boundless spirit and positive energy will be missed by so many people.

     A visitation will be held on Monday, July 8th, 2024, from 2pm until time of remembrance service at 7pm at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 7000 S. Madison Street, Willowbrook, IL 60527.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) are welcome.
