Patricia "Patty" McNally

Patricia “Patty” McNally passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 73 in River Forest, IL. She was born on October 2, 1950 in Chicago to parents William and Patricia Ruane McNally.

Loving mother of Courtney Mooney and Lindsay Schlesser (Jordan Wolfson). Beloved sister of William (Mary Kissane), and James (Cathy Kaiser); proud grandmother of Rory Mooney. Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Patty thoroughly loved being with her family and spending time with her grandson. She expressed her joy for every holiday by trimming her home with cherished decorations accumulated over the years.  She also treasured time away from home in Door County and Lake Geneva, being near the water.

Patty earned her BA at the College of Santa Fe and worked in the Admissions department there. She held several positions at firms in Chicago before pursuing her Masters at Loyola University and EdD at National Lewis University. She taught at Northwestern as part of the Business Leadership program. Patty also served as Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs at Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine and adjunct professor of Adult Education at the university’s Leishchner Institute for Medical Education. Students praised her exceptional approach to teaching adult learners. A student remarked, “she displays sincere compassion for imparting knowledge.”

A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 19, 2024 from 4 to 7pm at Adolf & Powell, 2921 Harlem Ave, Berwyn, IL. Family and friends are asked to meet at Ascension Church, 808 S East Ave, Oak Park, IL 60304 for an 10a.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday June 20,2024. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
