Michalina Iwanciw; beloved wife of the late Wasyl Iwanciw; loving mother of Anna (Wesley) Schwabedissen & the late Irene (Russell) Mueller; dear grandmother of Mark (Alison) Schwabedissen, Beth Murray, Lisa (Stas) Hammond, Lauren (Steve) Cimino, and the late Jason Mueller; cherished great-grandmother of Emily & Trinity Murray, Hailey & Peyton Hammond, Jaxon & Joshua Schwabedissen, Eliot & Alexander Cimino, & the late Amelia Schwabedissen; loved by many as Baba. She was a woman of quiet strength and deep faith, whose love for God shaped every part of her life. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she cared for with a gentle heart, wise words, and warmth that made every gathering feel like home. Her prayers and kindness lifted everybody around her, and her love will forever resonate with us.
A mass will be held at St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church, 5000 N. Cumberland Ave. Chicago, Il, on Friday December 12th at 11:00AM, Interment will follow at St Nicholas Cemetery, 8851 W Higgins Rd, Chicago.
Baba's Celebration of Life/Open House will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 2pm-5pm at King-Bruwaert House, Hosted in: The Woods Room, 6101 S. County Line Rd. Burr Ridge, Il
