Lawrence Kincanon of Elmhurst passed away on Friday Jun 9, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Camille. Beloved father of Kerry Kincanon and Richard (Elizabeth) Kincanon. Dear grandfather of Katherine, Miles, Francesca, Henry and Alexandra. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Bernie and Mary Kincanon, in-laws Camille and Pete Tinaglia, and brother-in-law Pete Tinaglia and sister-in-law Pam Tinaglia. Larry was a loyal telephone repair man for AT&T for more than 35 years and was an excellent bowler in the company league!
Larry’s entire life was devoted to his family. He not only coached his own kids in baseball, he attended every single activity of his precious grandchildren. He was a constant light in their lives as a helpful caregiver whenever needed. Larry loved his frequent trips to serene Wisconsin on Lake Puckaway. They didn't take extravagant trips but the ones that they did make, they made count. Especially the road trip they took to watch their son, Rick march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. The many trips to see their daughter Kerry sing and act in college and beyond were equally as special. He and Camille did everything together. They enjoyed fishing, boating, and the world famous Princeton Flea market regularly. The serenity of the country held quite a special place in their hearts. Larry was a Chicago SUPERFAN for all sports but his passion was The St. Louis Cardinals. He rooted for them to the end.
His humor and love of family will be incredibly missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 14, 2023 from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 11:15am at Grace Episcopal Church, 120 E First St, Hinsdale, IL 60521. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Shiner's Hospital for Children or St. Jude in his name.
