Kendall Nicole Pickering

Kendall Nicole Pickering, 15, of Hinsdale, died unexpectedly on December 15, 2020. She was born on February 16, 2005, in Hinsdale where she attended Hinsdale Central High School. 

Kendall was a very loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, teammate, and decorated student-athlete. She excelled both in the classroom and in the swimming pool. Her family and friends described her as a compassionate and encouraging individual that always brought out the best in those around her. She was known for her infectious smile and being mature well beyond her years. 

Some of Kendall’s favorite times included family vacations to Disney World after her birthday; spending time with her fluffy best friend, Zoey; bike riding around town with her sister, Taylor; and limitless hours spent with her teammates in the swimming pool.

She is survived by her mother, Kim Pickering; her sister, Taylor; grandparents William (Bonnie) Reynolds and Joyce Pickering; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with countless teammates and friends. 

A walk through visitation, (See below) will be held on Sunday, December 27, from 1-7 PM at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527. Due to Covid restrictions masks are required, and a limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time. 

Family and friends will meet for a funeral service with limited seating at 11 AM on Monday, December 28 at Christ Church of Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Rd, Oak Brook, IL 60523; (Corner of 31st St and York Rd). Please register in advance if you wish to attend on the livestream link. Due to current restrictions, the service will be live-streamed at https://www.christchurch.us/kendall. A Celebration of Life will be announced when restrictions have been lifted. 

Walk Through Visitation: Friends will enter through the front entrance. After paying your respects to the family, please exit through the rear doors.
