John Fred Vokaty

John Fred Vokaty passed away peacefully on March 23rd in Burr Ridge, Illinois. A former 43 year resident of Hinsdale. John was born on March 3, 1927 to the late John Vokaty and Anna (nee Cakora) in Chicago, Illinois. John, beloved husband of the late Helen Minerva Vokaty (nee Tebbetts); Loving father of Norman (Elizabeth) Vokaty, Judy (Arthur) Eagen, Ann (Mike) Montefinese and the late John William Vokaty; Dear grandfather of Peter Walsh, Kellene Eagen (Brian Schneirow), the late Jonathan Vokaty, Kathleen (Christopher) Theagen , Matthew Vokaty and Christopher (Gabriella) Vokaty; Doting great grandfather of Easton Vokaty and Emmery Schneirow; Dear brother of the late Evelyn (the late Otto) Katek, the late Norman (the late Mildred) Vokaty and the late Florence (the late William) Macuba; Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. John loved spending time with his family, and loved his sailboat, spending countless summers sailing on Lake Michigan with his late wife, Helen. John served in the U.S. Navy, started his career in public accounting, and then served as a Vice President-Comptroller for IT&T.  John will be missed but not forgotten.   A memorial to celebrate John's life will take place at a later date.
