Jerome (Jay) Anthony Ulane

Jerome (Jay) Anthony Ulane, 61 years, born February 8, 1964, passed away at the Ulane family home in Hinsdale on March 31, 2025.  Jay graduated in 1982 from Hinsdale High School and received a Bachelor degree in Finance from Auburn University, Alabama in 1987. 

An All-American springboard diver and receiver of other athletic honors led to Jay receiving a diving scholarship to the University of Missouri (UM), Columbia. While at UM, he underwent a kidney transplant, the donor being his mother, Caroline.  Post transplant, Jay transferred to Auburn University (AU) to continue diving and pursue his degree in finance. Upon graduation, Jay embarked on a 35-plus year career at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Outside work, Jay was passionate about sports such as golf and scuba diving and Mexico, a place he visited annually.

Jay was pre-deceased by his father, Jerome (Jerry) Ulane and is survived by mother Caroline Ulane, of Hinsdale IL; sister Jessica Tipton (Dailey) West Chester, PA; brother Jason Ulane, Chicago IL; nephews: Nate Tipton (Kacie); Leah Shackleford (Shane);  Joshua Ulane; Grand Nephews: Axel Tipton; Ryder Tipton, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the Chicagoland area. Services and interment private.
