George Albarran

George Albarran (87), proud National Guard veteran, died Monday, March 21, 2022.  Beloved husband of the late Marguerite Albarran for 58 years.  Loving father of George J. (Nam), James, and Lisa Torres (Joseph). Cherished grandfather of Zachary (Cassidy), Roger (Tess) and Sydney (Dylan).  Devoted brother of Lillian Fleming (the late James), and his late brothers Arthur, Charles, John and William.   Dear brother-in-law to Donald Dauksha (Federico Lagon).  Best friend to Keith Ohlsen (the late Evelyn).      
     George was raised in Chicago by his loving parents Arthur and Sarah, after they immigrated from Mexico. George attended Hyde Park High, and under the guidance of his brothers and his mentor George Prinz started a successful family-owned business that continues to thrive today.  George proudly served over 20 years in the National Guard, and during that time he met his future brother-in-law, Donald, who introduced him to the love of his life, Marguerite.  George and Marguerite raised their children in Chicago and South Holland.  George’s family is comforted by the fact that he is reunited with his Funny Valentine.  
     George was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, his extended Albarran family, and his Mexican heritage.  He also loved all the close friends that spent many a fond Sunday around the pool in South Holland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).   A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25 from 3 to 7 PM at Adolf Funeral Home 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside,IL.
