Francisco Corral Ibarra, aka Chico, passed away March 4, 2022. Chico was born and raised in La Soledad, Durango. He came to the U.S when he was a young adult and went back to La Soledad to marry the love of his life, Lidia. They came back to the U.S and went on to have 6 children.
Chico was very charismatic and friendly, he loved to be surrounded by people and approached life with a childlike attitude. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing jokes on people. He wanted to instill courage in his children so he would allow them to watch scary movies at night and then challenge each to go alone to a different room to test they’ve bravery, his kids did not disappoint him no matter how scared they were.
Chico is survived by his wife Lidia of 51 years and his children José Angel (Edna) Corral, Jesus (Phuoc) Corral, Yolanda (José) Peña, Edgar (Lucy) Corral, Eric (Juanita) Corral, Pancho (Genesis) Corral and his grandchildren Destiny and Briana Peña, Favian, Bella, Elly, and Ryan Corral. His brother Flavio (Margarita) Corral, and his sister Esther (Fernando) Perez among all his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The night before he passed, Chico said he surrendered his soul to his Heavenly Father and said he was given a grand sign that the day was here. He died peacefully in his sleep.
A visitation will be held Sunday March 13, 2022, from 3-7pm at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527. Friends will meet on Monday, March 14, 2022, for a 11:30am funeral mass at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 64 Norfolk Ave, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
