Flor B Tembrina

Flor B. Tembrina, 80, of Hinsdale, IL formerly of Oakbrook and Lombard, IL, Oak Park, Chicago, and Quezon City, Philippines, died on February 13, 2023.

Flor was devoted to her husband and family. For over 60 years, she had a long career as a nurse, public health professional, medical clinic administrator, and home health care professional. She was active in leadership positions (President and Board Member) at the Philippine Medical Association in Chicago (PMAC), and volunteered her time with numerous organizations including the Philippine Independence Week Committee and serving food to the needy during Thanksgiving. She enjoyed fashion, sewing, singing, gardening, floral arrangements, and cooking. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Sam M. Tembrina, who passed away in 1999. She is survived by her children, Richard (Rich) Tembrina; Michael (Mike) Tembrina and his spouse, Cielo Ly Tembrina; and her three grandchildren, Joseph, Lorenzo, and Beatriz.

A visitation will take place from 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Ascension of Our Lord Parish, 1S314 Summit Ave, Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Private inurnment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery of Hillside, IL.
