Eleanor Moculeski

Eleanor Moculeski, age 97, longtime Hinsdale resident and beloved wife of the late Chester F. Moculeski, passed away on November 15, 2022. She was born on January 22, 1925, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is survived by her daughter, Karen Moculeski; Loving grandmother of Christian (Tammie) Kister, and Alexandra (Maxwell) Kister Ryan. Adored great grandmother of Theodore J. and Eleanor Ryan, Nathan T. Kister and beloved aunt of Jeanne Budney, Sr. Dolores Orzel and Jessica Hulsebosch (deceased). Eleanor was a grade school teacher in the 1960’s at St. Isaac Jogues School and later was a resource teacher at Madison School.  She always enjoyed running into former students who fondly remembered her encouraging teaching style. Eleanor spent many hours as a volunteer with the St. Isaac Jogues Parish helping out at 5 o’clock mass and as an Ecumenical minister which provided her the opportunity to serve maternity patients at the Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.  She loved visiting with the families and new mothers when serving communion.  She was also an active in the SIJ Seniors group at the Parish.  Visitation at 9 a.m. in the Fireside Room will precede the Funeral Mass on November 22, 2022, 10 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Fourth and Clay St., Hinsdale. Interment Bronswood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hinsdale Humane Society, 21 Salt Creek Lane, Hinsdale, IL 60521 or Hinsdalehumanesociety.org/donate.
