Obituary
Douglas Engfer of Villa Park, passed away on Sunday April 2, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frederick and Dorothy Engfer.
Douglas was the loving father of Douglas Jr, Dawn(Kerry) Hand and Heather(Jeff) Pils. Beloved grandfather of Dylan Eston Hand and Evie Marvel Pils. Dear brother of Susan Marvel Engfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lynn.
Our Dad had a fantastic sense of humor. He had a joke, limerick, or little ditty for every occasion and never failed to communicate it. He had a deep love of music and would often serenade us and audiences with his tuba. Dad also possessed a vast understanding of anything mathematical and technical and loved passing along his knowledge to friends and family. He was proud of the life and family he built with our mother and the marriage they shared for 55 years before her passing one year ago. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
