Douglas M. Brandin

Douglas M. Brandin passed away in his home on June 11, 2024. Doug was a long time resident of Willowbrook. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. He completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University and went on to participate in their doctorate program as well. After education, he worked for a major government contractor specializing in Artificial Intelligence and robotics training. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, and trying new food. He is survived by his brother, Robert Brandin, his two nieces, Charlotte (Tim) O’Connell and Allison Barnes, his nephew, Jon Brandin, and his grand-niece, Evie O’Connell. He was a brilliant man, loved by his family, and he will be greatly missed. Blessing and committal service will be held on Saturday July 13, 2024, 11:00am at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 1400 S.
