Dorel Catarama

Dorel Catarama, a Hinsdale resident of over 30 years, passed away June 25, 2021, after a brief illness, at Hinsdale Hospital with his closest family by his side.

Dorel, 70, was born in Romania. He was a well-known local custom home builder and a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He had a passion for fixing anything broken, loved instilling this same passion in and playing with his grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling the world. Most importantly, he loved Jesus with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Valeriu, and mother, Ileana (nee Lungu).

He is survived by his wife of 46 years - Veronica (nee Oana); son - Dragos (Ramona); grandchildren - Caiden and Cayla; brother -Viorel; sister - Mimi; along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

A viewing will take place from 12pm until the time of funeral service at 1 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Hinsdale Seventh-Day Adventist Church - 201 N. Oak Street, Hinsdale, with interment immediately following at Bronswood Cemetery – 3805 Madison Street, Oak Brook.

The funeral service will be live-streamed.
