Daniel Harris Schoenberg, age 70, passed away in his sleep on August 24, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan, his son Max (Tracy), and his two grandchildren Calvin and Stanley, his son Samuel (Maggie), his sister Janet (Steve) Mirsky, and his brother Joel (Anne).
Dan was born in New York, NY in 1949 to Solomon and Sylvia Schoenberg, and was raised in Teaneck, NJ. He practiced civil engineering for several municipalities and served the Village of Hinsdale for 26 years as its engineer. After retiring from the Village of Hinsdale as its Director of Public Works, Dan continued to dedicate his professional talents to private consulting projects throughout the suburban Chicago area with James J. Benes and Associates.
