Dale W Walker

Dale W. Walker, 85, a longtime resident of Hinsdale, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 17, 2022. The son of Robert and Helen (Stype) Walker, he was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 22,1936. Dale was raised in Fairview Park, Ohio and graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Chemistry. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and met the love of his life, Mary Jane Shaw (Jane), during their sophomore year. Shortly after graduation, they married and moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he began a 39-year career with Nalco Chemical Company, retiring as Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales. Throughout his life, Dale was an avid fisherman, golfer, and tennis player. He was also a devoted volunteer at Hinsdale Hospital for over 15 years. Dale was known for his quick wit and ability to make everyone laugh. His greatest love of all was his wife of 63 years and their beautiful family. Dale is survived by his wife Jane, his son Gregg (Anne), his daughter Karin Krafcisin (Jack), his son Bradley (Elizabeth), and his grandchildren Elizabeth, Michael, Kevin, Katherine, Claire, Lillian, Anna, Tess, Andie, Maddie, and great grandson Johnathan James. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, 3 p.m. at Hinsdale Covenant Church, 412 S. Garfield Street, Hinsdale, Illinois.
