Beverly Louise Leija

Beverly Louise Leija of Oak Brook peacefully passed away on April 11, 2024. She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Dr. Joseph Leija. Beloved mother of Joseph and Cynthia (Dr. Robert) Wagner.  Cherished grandmother of Michael (Brittany) Wagner, Kathryn (Ryan) Goll and Dr. Mary Elizabeth Wagner. Adored great-grandmother of Adam and Grace Wagner and Charlotte and Daniel Goll. Affectionately remembered as Beckus and called Aha by her grandchildren.

Beverly was a straight shooter with a brutally honest personality but loved nothing more than bragging about her grandchildren and their accomplishments. She was always up for a good meal while enjoying a top shelf margarita and fiery political discussions with her family.  Her unique presence will be missed.

A private interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (https://www.stjude.org).
