Barbara Kincaid

Barbara Kincaid of Oakbrook Terrace, formerly of LaGrange, IL passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 surrounded by her family. Loving wife of the late M. Dean Kincaid. Loving mother of Sherilyn(Dean)Monkemeier, Laurilyn(Robert)Watson, Melanie(Tom) Holmes; fond grandmother of Matthew(Tia), Stephen and Owen Monkemeier and  Stuart and Alec Watson; dear great-grandmother of Eden and Shepard Monkemeier. 
Barbara worked all of her adult life. Her first job was at Sherwin Paint Store in Spokane, Washington, where she measured windows for glazing and worked the switchboard.
She taught Musical Kindergarten at her husband, Dean’s, School of Music in Spokane, and directed a children’s choir at Redeemer Covenant Church in Chicago.
She was a secretary for 3 Christian organizations:  Worldwide Christian Education Ministries, in Chicago; Greater Chicago Sunday School Association in Oak Park; and Northern Baptist Seminary in Lombard, where she worked in the Registrar’s Office.
Barbara was a member of Christ Church, Oakbrook, IL at the time of her passing.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10am at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL 60527. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to World Vision, wvi.org.
