James Bolan, M.D.

James Thomas Bolan, M.D., 81, died peacefully on January 8, 2018 surrounded by members of his family. James was born on August 3, 1936, in Evanston, Il., the son of the late James Thomas Bolan and the late Anne B. Bolan. James is survived by Mary Jo Bolan nee Buckley, his wife of 49 years. He was the loving father of Peter (Kristy), Patrick (Nancy), Daniel (Meredith), Bill, and Thomas (Amanda) Bolan. He was a loving grandfather to Jamie, Robert, Rebecca, Jack, Ella, James, Brooke, Sophie, Julia, Liam, and, Kathleen Bolan.  He is also survived by his brother, Hon. Michael B. Bolan (Sandee). James was a resident of Hinsdale for 37 years.  He spent the majority of his career as a pathologist at Palos Community Hospital and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, where he served in Vietnam. Memorial celebration will be held Saturday, January 20th, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at Lagrange Country Club 620 S. Brainard Ave. Lagrange IL 60525. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday January 20th, 10:00 am at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Fourth and Clay St. Hinsdale IL 60521.
