Helen Louise (Graf) Plachek

Helen Louise (nee Graf) Plachek, 88, a long time resident of Clarendon Hills, was born in Blue Island, IL on August 28, 1928.   She entered heaven’s gates on April 15, 2017.  The matriarch of the family, Helen loved doting on her nieces and nephews and was always there for everyone.  Helen had an unwavering faith in God and was very active at Notre Dame Parish in Clarendon Hills, where she was a eucharistic minister for the sick and needy.  Helen was the beloved wife of the late Edgar.  They had no children, but she was like a mother to all of her nieces and nephews.  She was the loving sister of the late Conrad (Nevada)Graf, late Nancy (Richard) Pryor, and Thomas (Susan) Graf. Sister-in-law of the late Lucille March.  Cherished aunt of Dale (Deb) Pryor, Jean (Steve) Graber, late Mark and Glen (Wendy) Pryor, Tom (Barb) Graf, Cheryl Ramsdorf, Tim (Barb) Graf, and Michele (Brian) Lee, Late Beth Graf, Audrey Hartigan, Maude (Greg) Damaan.  Fond and best friend and caregiver, Kristin Hill who was always there for Helen.  Many great nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank Porter Place Memory Care, Tinley Park for all their exceptional loving care, where she called home.  Visitation Thursday, April 20 9:30am till time of funeral mass 10:30am at Notre Dame Parish, 64 Norfolk, Clarendon Hills, IL  60514. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Notre Dame Parish.  Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
