George A Gonzales

.George Arturo Gonzales passed away at home on June 5th, 2019 in Bolingbrook, IL surrounded by his family with whom he resided. He was born in Kansas City MO on July 25,1937; born to George and Mary Helen Gonzales who preceded him in death along with his 9 siblings. George was knows to many as Art and also Pap. He served in the United States Air Force and Army during the Korean War. He worked for more than 30 years and retired as a truck driver. After retirement he worked part-time at a local grocery story as a door greeter in which he loved. He was a very personable man and enjoyed talking with all whom he encountered. George was a jack of all trades and master of none. From mechanics, to carpentry, to medical; George knew a little about everything. He loved his family and always told many stories that would captivate you. He leaves to cherish his memory his life partner of almost 40 years Delores (Dodie), his last living sister Helen, his loving children, step-children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends. A visitation will be held Monday, June 10 from 10am-12pm at Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, 5901 S. County line Rd, Hinsdale IL 60521.
