Dolores A. Cizek

Dolores A. Cizek, nee Miller, a fifty plus year resident of Burr Ridge, passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2018 in Hinsdale at 88 years of age.  Dolores graduated from the University of Chicago in 1951. In 1952 she married, James J. Cizek and later that same year they opened The Squire Shop, a fine menswear store in Hinsdale.  It was a forty year institution in the village. Dolores was most proud of her 16 years of public service, first on the Burr Ridge planning commission and then on the board of Trustees.  She is preceded in death by her husband, James J., and her daughter, Deborah L. Cizek-Smith. She is survived by her son Robert. A visitation will be held Monday, April 16 from 9:00am until the time of funeral service at 11:00am at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 412 S. Garfield, Hinsdale, IL.  Interment to follow at Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated in memory of Dolores to Go Fund Me; Dolores Cizek.
