Big heart, Big talent – That only begins to explain this incredible young man… It all started back on March 27th, 1992, in Aurora, IL. Christopher Michael McLean, his middle name inspired by St. Michael the Archangel, was born to Joseph McLean & Pamela McLean (MacAdam). Chris was second youngest to a blended family of seven children, with many nicknames, most notable being MAGOO, which he embraced to appease his mother. You could see his creativity shine through from the start as he evolved into an incredible individual. Chris loved his childhood, he held on to so many memories that helped shape his character. He would often talk about memories he had spending time with his brothers, sisters, cousins, and nephew when they were young. He attended Oswego High School where he discovered his love for art, which quickly became a real talent of his. Upon graduation, Chris attended American Academy of Art in Chicago where he continued to pursue his passion for art. In fact, he truly was an artist at heart, creative and capable of interpreting his thoughts and vision through artwork and his life-long passion for music. Chris picked up his first guitar at the young age of 5 years old and never looked back. He poured his heart into creating music for his friends and family, often times performing during holiday parties. Anytime Chris was around, there would constantly be laughter in the air. He genuinely cared about everyone he met, always lent a helping hand, and just wanted to make his family and friends proud. Over the years he developed a very strong work ethic when he decided to learn from one of his greatest mentors, his father. He was always motivated to continue his creativity through the encouragement of his mother and father – they were truly his biggest fans, number one cheerleaders! Chris is survived by his father, Joseph McLean of McHenry, IL; his sister, Jackie McLean ((Jeff Hinckley) of Oswego, IL; his sister, Jamie Kealey of Camby, IN; his sister, Jennifer McLean (Dan Lieving) of Sycamore, IL; his sister Lindsey (Ted) Diepenbrock of Riverside, MO; his brother Nick McLean of Kearney, MO; his brother, John (Jessica) Roberts of Geneva, IL; his nieces and nephews, Dylan Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Breanna Roberts, Donovan Turley, Gavin Roberts, Izaiah Turley, Payton McLean, Leigh Diepenbrock, Ellie Lieving, Reid McLean, Noah Lieving; his aunt and uncles, Steve & Jackie Peck, Randy MacAdam, Don and Elizabeth MacAdam, Gary and Diane McLean, Don McLean, Sylvia MacAdam; and his grandpa, Richard Germ. A visitation will be held at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E State St, Geneva, IL 60134 from 4:00-8:00PM on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
