Anna M. Datcu

Anna​ ​M​arie​​ ​Datcu, ​ ​born​ ​January​ ​30,​ ​1930​ ​in​ ​Chicago,​ ​IL.,​ ​age​ ​87,​ ​peacefully​ ​passed​ ​away​ ​on Sept.​ ​15,​ ​2017​.​ ​​ ​​She​ ​was​ ​the​ ​daughter​ ​of​ ​Felice​ ​and​ ​Anna​ ​DiGangi​ ​(nee​ ​Castro)​.​ ​​ ​Preceded​ ​in death​ ​by​ ​her​ ​adoring​ ​husband,​ ​Emil​ ​Datcu​ ​of​ ​41​ ​years.​ ​​ ​Beloved​ ​mother​ ​of​ ​daughter​ ​Anne​ ​Marie Dando​ ​and​ ​son​ ​in​ ​law​ ​Samuel​ ​W.​ ​Dando;​ ​cherished​ ​grandmother​ ​to​ ​Samantha​ ​and​ ​Sammy Dando.​ ​​ ​Beloved​ ​sister​ ​to​ ​Jeri​ ​Prestia​ ​(Casey)​ ​and​ ​preceded​ ​in​ ​death​ ​by​ ​siblings​ ​Josephine Gange​ ​(Guy),​ ​Rose​ ​Hornbeck​ ​(Fred),​ ​Frank​ ​DiGangi​ ​(Virginia),​ ​Joseph​ ​DiGangi​ ​(Denise)​ ​and Frances​ ​Reilly​ ​(Robert).​ ​​ ​Treasured,​ ​loved​ ​and​ ​known​ ​as​ ​“Pretty,​ ​Pretty”​ ​by​ ​her​ ​nieces​ ​and nephews​ ​Diane​ ​Landers​ ​(Dixon),​ ​Jim​ ​Gange​ ​(Linda),​ ​Lee​ ​Mahn​ ​(Les),​ ​Renee​ ​Swade​ ​(Jim), Bob​ ​Prestia​ ​(Becky),​ ​Gary​ ​Prestia​ ​(Darlene),​ ​​Philip​​ ​DiGangi​ ​(Janice),​ ​Paul​ ​DiGangi​ ​(Mavis),​ ​Joe DiGangi​ ​(Heather),​ ​Denise​ ​DiGangi,​ ​Felicia​ ​Reilly,​ the late ​Rob​ ​Reilly,​ ​the late Joe​ ​Castro ​(Marion), Tony ​Castro​ ​(Jetta),​ ​John​ ​Castro​ ​(the late Helene)​ ​and​ ​Jim Castro​ ​(Joanna).​ ​​ ​Anna​ ​will​ ​be remembered​ ​for​ ​her​ ​humor,​ ​artistic​ ​talents,​ ​generous​ ​heart,​ ​service​ ​to​ ​the​ ​LORD​ ​​and​ ​her​​ ​never ending​ ​devotion​ ​and​ ​love​ ​to​ ​her​ ​family​ ​and​ ​friends.  Visitation Monday, September 18 from 2-8pm at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St. Willowbrook, IL  Visitation Tuesday, 9am until time of funeral mass 10am at Our Lady’s Chapel, Mayslake Village, 1801 35th Street, Oak Brook, IL  60523. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside IL.  In​ ​lieu​ ​of​ ​flowers,​ ​contributions​ ​in​ ​Anna’s​ ​name​ ​may​ ​be​ ​made​ ​to​ ​Mayslake​ ​Village​, Oak Brook​, IL​​ ​where​ ​she​ ​enjoyed​ ​a​ ​full​ ​life​ ​embraced​ ​by​ ​wonderful​ ​friends​ ​and​ ​staff​ ​that​ ​loved​ ​her​ ​as​ ​family.
